We have a great opportunity for a customer-oriented Driver to join our team! As a Driver, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts.
Shift : 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM
We are looking for associates who :
- Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol.
- Ability to serve as the backup to Counter Sales and Warehouse Associates as needed.
- Provides associates with possible solutions and / or appropriate contact information when problems arise; reports observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
- Receive and check in deliveries, pickups and returns to insure quality and quantity of products.
- Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment.
- Sweep floors remove trash and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders. Orders range from a small box to pallets.
- Record losses of damaged or defective materials.
What you bring :
- Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
- Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
- Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, and power tools. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
- Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
