North Pointe, a premier retirement community in Anderson, SC, provides quality care to residents in an ASSISTED LIVING, MEMORY CARE community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Clinical Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed.
- Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving showers, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, ambulating, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
- Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
- Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and CSL standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.
- Effectively schedules staff to meet business needs while adhering to state and federal regulatory requirements. Manages call offs of staff and creatively provides solutions to staffing shortages. Requires carrying Staffing Phone weekly.
- Assists with verifying payroll and manages PTO requests for clinical staff.
- Communicates directly with residents, families, medical staff, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, and Department Heads to coordinate care and services, improve organization and implementation of service plans to maintain quality of care, quality of life, and a homelike environment for all residents as needed.
- Reports the finding of compliance rounds to the Wellness Director on a daily basis. Designs, implements, and evaluates actions to continuously improve quality, compassionate care and cleanliness.
- Will be required to work the floor as a caregiver or nurse as needed to assist in resident care and third party staff elimination.
- Comply with the community's privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all
state/federal health privacy laws as outlined by HIP AA.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required, prefer Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Two year professional experience in a senior living environment
Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff
