Position: Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Location: Edinburgh, IN
Shift: Night shift
Wage: $27.95- $32.17 Hourly (Based on experience)
- $10,000 Sign-on bonus and Quarterly bonus!!
- Saturdays are time and a half pay! Sundays are DOUBLETIME pay!
- Opportunity for overtime available
- Benefits start first day of month following hire date!
- Pay Rate: dependent on experience range
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for full-time employment. This opportunity is a permanent position with full benefits.
While reporting to the Plant Engineer OR Maintenance Supervisor, as the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing), for performing maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.
Qualified applicants must be experienced in:
- Electrical Systems/Motor Controls (3 phase 480VAC)
- Solid-state Circuits
- AC and DC Drives
- PLC's and Instrumentation
- A good working knowledge of various mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is required
- Prefer experience with NEC
Employees working within this position are required to work either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts and must be flexible to work any shift, holidays and overtime as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production
- Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
- Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM’s, and rebuilds.
- Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
- Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls a plus
- Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends
