Position: Machine Operator
Location: Hickory, NC
Pay: $21.18/hr
Shift: 1st

While reporting to the shift supervisor, you will be responsible to perform tasks that are necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Setup trimming equipment per machine and product specifications.
- Adjust Machine settings to achieve proper speeds and cut quality
- Ensure that quality expectations are achieved. Notify lead tech or production lead as needed to assist in resolving quality issues.
- Monitor production data. Place proper label on storage bins or cartons.
- Perform required material handling duties including: loading paper cores onto carts, moving bins/carts into warehouse storage area, use electric pallet jack to move cartons/pallets

- Recommended Work Experience and required skills --
- 2 years of machine operator experience
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Understanding of basic manufacturing and quality control processes
- Position may require making local deliveries using 26 ft Box truck
