Job Summary:
We are looking for a Process & Regulatory Engineer to join our plant in Carlisle, PA. The Process & Regulatory Engineer is responsible for developing and ensuring compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals standards and ISO 14001 and 50001 in the Adhesive Plant 6. ISO responsibilities will also extend to the TPO manufacturing Plant 5. The Engineer will work closely with Plant Management, Maintenance and Engineering to implement programs to maintain compliance with these required programs. This position will also be involved with production projects related to process consistency, quality, productivity, and cost savings.

Occasional on-call 24 hours/day responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the PSM and ISO programs which includes:
- Process safety information
- Process hazards analysis
- Management of change
- Mechanical integrity
- Development of operating procedures and safe practices
- Ensure that new processes and projects are properly vetted to ensure continued compliance and safety.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices.
- Lead PSM and ISO meetings with management, maintenance, and plant personnel on a regular basis.
- Perform engineering calculations and modeling related to pressure relief system design, consequence analysis, safety instrumented system design, and safeguard evaluations.
- Serve as an internal auditor for PSM, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, and identify corrective actions.
- Act as the on-site expert when auditors, inspectors, or other interested parties canvas the site for information.
- Develop training materials and educate personnel to ensure everyone understands the requirements of PSM and ISO.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Incident Investigations per company internal standards and industry best practices.
- Stay current on regulation changes by continuing education and participation in industry groups.
- Update and maintain P&ID Drawings in AutoCAD.
- Become a subject matter expert in the chemicals handled in the plant and their reactivity with the employees, environment, and other chemicals.
- Evaluate manufacturing data to identify process inefficiencies.
- Develop methods, training needs, and equipment modifications to obtain improvements.
- Resolve problems relating to materials, methods, and equipment by developing and employing expertise in all areas of the plant
- Assume leadership and responsibility for various projects in the plant including:
- Safety enhancements for plant personnel
- Introducing innovative technology and process improvements
- Supporting Research and Development in experimentation of new products or processes
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
