Corporate Accounting Analyst

As a Corporate Accounting Analyst on the Sonos Corporate Accounting team, you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions critical to the global monthly close process. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, very organized, have a positive outlook, and be curious by nature. This position will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting. This role can be done from home Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done from anywhere in the United States- any of our offices, or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location. What You’ll Do Analyze balance sheet and income statement trends to provide business insights Responsible for certain month end close activities with a focus on operating expenses Maintain general ledger accounts through account reconciliations and analysis within FloQast Assist in SAP optimization projects Identify automation and tooling opportunities to drive efficiency and improvements in the close process Use strong communication skills and act as the go-to for your areas of responsibility Collaborate cross functionally with FP&A and other business partners Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure audit requirements are met Develop, document, and maintain standard operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policy, SOX, and US GAAP Conduct special projects, as needed What You’ll Need Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, computer science or related field Desire to work in a fully remote environment Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience in corporate accounting and/or public accounting Advanced in Microsoft Excel with experience with analytic tools such as Tableau Experience with SAP S4/HANA, FloQast, and/or Altyerx Experience and/or desire to leverage automation tools and RPA CPA license or interest in pursuing license Attention to detail with high level of ethics and integrity Problem solving and organizational skills Flexibility to operate and pivot in a changing and evolving environment Independent ownership for areas of responsibility, proactive, self-motivated A strong desire to learn and grow personally and professionally Excellent communication and interpersonal skills #LI-Remote We consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting minimum base pay for this role is: $67,000 We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including open time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
