Production Associate I
The entry level Hearing Device Technician will perform manufacturing functions associated with assembly of custom hearing aid products and/or Behind The Ear (BTE) devices.
Responsibilities:
May perform any or all of the following Custom hearing device functions (In the ear- ITE/sound delivery system-SDS)
- ITE/SDS Device Preparation-Cut / Trim / Sanding
- ITE/SDS Lacquer and Options (removal filament, removal notch, microphone screen)
May perform any or all of the following Behind The Ear functions
- BTE Device Preparation- Assembly, Service, or Serial Number Marketing
May perform any or all of the following Sound Delivery System functions
- SDS Modifications
- SDS cShell cable installation
- Closing cShell
- SDS Connector Installation
Other Responsibilities to include:
- Faceplate preparation Digital Cover Customization
- Distribution of production orders
- Maintain workstation in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Visually inspect product, identify defects/rejects, and escalate issues as required
- Perform daily workstation clean up
- Active participation in quality improvement processes
- Initiate process improvements and motivate peers to achieve team goals
Meet established individual and team goals
More about you:
- 1 - 3 years' experience in manufacturing
- Flexibility to various positions as business needs require
- Ability to follow and understand work instructions
- Demonstrated understanding of electro static discharge and handling of material with established safety procedures
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate and comprehend English
- Basic Computer skills
- Strong Manual dexterity for use of small pieces and hand tools
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions using both hands
- Excellent vision to read small font, count, verify, and audit inventory locations
- Ability to stand/walk for 1 hour and sit for 7 hours a day
- Lift weight up to 20 lbs
- -Perform other duties as assigned
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
