SUMMARY
Provide effective, friendly, and efficient service to all Sooner Coop customers. Responsible for repairing tires, maintaining vehicles by performing general maintenance, and maintaining a professional work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following;
· Assist General Manager by promoting the value of the Coop through community involvement and maintaining a favorable image within the community;
· Make out sales tickets for all items sold through the store;
· Assist the shop manager with inventory control on items stocked in the store;
· Provide customer assistance and information, and resolve customer complaints;
· Administer customer credit within established company policy;
· Examine the vehicle and determine the need for repairs by road test, by use of mechanical testing devices, by questioning the customer about the vehicle’s performance, or by visual inspection of the vehicle;
· Repair, mount, and dismount truck, tractor, and auto tires on customer vehicles;
· Use of power air tools, manual hand tools, and other shop equipment;
· Perform all functions in accordance with established safety rules;
· Perform routine maintenance on customer vehicles;
· Keep the shop and work areas in a clean, safe manner;
· Assist customers in loading merchandise as needed;
· Help with harvest as directed by the manager;
· Regular and sustained attendance;
· Other duties as may be assigned.

Ability to use a forklift, tire mounting equipment, and tractor-mounted equipment.
Use adding machine/calculator with a high degree of accuracy and competence.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months of experience operating a commercial tire machine would be helpful but are not required. Experience dealing with people in a variety of situations would also be helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
