Description
Summary: Perform supervisory functions in the parameters set-forth by the parent company. Perform functions directly related to a distribution facility. Perform shipping and receiving functions. Perform operational transactions daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Reports to the warehouse manager for daily operations and job assignment in an efficient and professional manner.
2. Supervises the implementation of all S.O.P. procedures, GMP policies and Quality Control formats.
3. Monitors and audits forklift operations and procedures within the distribution center.
4. Ensures all employees are properly equipped with a uniform; helmet, safety glasses, hairnet, etc.
5. Ships and received all finished goods according to South Park S.O.P. policies.
6. Processes all dispositional HOLDS with the forklift operator – verifies quantities and properly identifies in relation to the disposition.
7. Ships and receives all loads as assigned by the department manager.
8. Runs bills of lading and process product transfers on the AS400 when required.
9. Participates in monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.
10. Performs an audit list of department on a daily basis submits to department manager in a timely manner. Works in conjunction with department manager to ensure safety standards are adhered to.
11. Finds cost savings within the departments daily parameters.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Two – Four years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Experienced forklift operation/knowledge.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.
• Valid Drivers License.
Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma Required
• Associates Degree in Management Preferred.
