We are seeking a skilled Operations Analyst Markle Indiana plant operations team. The primary focus of this role is to generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness. Must be a LOCAL applicant.
The Operations Analyst will play a vital role in providing meaningful insights to the business, utilizing data modeling and visualization techniques to communicate the story. This role is responsible for analyzing and evaluating various aspects of the sort, including inventory control, order fulfillment, labor utilization, and overall process improvement.
The Operations Analyst uses data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimization, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sort environment.
Essential Functions:
· Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and efficiency in the sort environment.
· Provide meaningful insights: Collect and analyze data related to sort operations, including inventory levels, order volumes, picking and packing efficiency, and labor utilization. Identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement based on data analysis, and provide regular updates and insights to business stakeholders
· Process Evaluation: Evaluate existing sorting processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement. Conduct time and motion studies, analyze order processing workflows, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for optimization. Identify opportunities to improve processing time, improve sort accuracy, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
· ERP systems: Leverage expertise in ERP systems to extract and analyze data, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
· Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to management and stakeholders. Present findings, progress, and improvement initiatives in meetings.
· Data modeling and visualization: Utilize data modeling techniques and advanced Excel skills to create models, charts, and graphs that effectively communicate complex data sets to business stakeholders.
· Training and Support: Provide training and support to plant staff on process changes, system updates, and best practices. Ensure that team members understand and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
· Data integrity maintenance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data by implementing quality control measures and data validation techniques.
· Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with various teams such as operations, engineering, management and stakeholders to gather data, understand requirements, and develop solutions for operational challenges.
· Profit-minded approach: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements through data analysis and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate measures. Apply a profit-minded mindset to all analyses and decision-making, focusing on improving financial performance and contributing to overall business profitability.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; applicable experience in lieu of degree.
· Proven experience as an Operations Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
· Prior experience in a data driven environment is preferred.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools, techniques, and software, including advanced Excel functions and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
· Familiarity with ERP systems and their data structures.
· Flexibility and initiative related to completing tasks.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and emerging analytics techniques.
