SOSi is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide a full range of business operations support strategic planning, and program control to the Defense Intelligence Group (DIG). The candidate will support assigned business operations and program control functions to include planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting for multiple contracts of varying types which are small to moderate in size, as well as moderate in complexity. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, working both independently and as an important member of the Program Management team. This candidate will work collaboratively with the Program and Project Managers as well as other Program Control Analysts, Finance Control Manager/Analysts, and others within Corporate Operations Team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expenditure plans to include level of effort projections as well as depletion dates for current funding
- Identify “at-risk funding” situations and initiate Project Risk Authorizations for Program Manager review as required
- Analyze immediate and long-term profitability both at the delivery order and the contract level
- Assist Program Managers in the identification of modifications and change orders and preparation of documentation required for new or follow on efforts
- Prepare, review, and maintain monthly financial deliverables for submission to the Government
- Establish and administer the invoice review process for their programs and prepare subcontractor financial reviews
- Develop and analyze Estimates To Complete (ETC), maintain program budgets, monitor actual costs and commitments
- Administer subcontract efforts
- Prepare program review presentations
- Produce financial deliverables as required per contract for both internal and external use
- Perform extensive investigations, as required
- Participate in business proposals in order to assist with the development of Basis of Estimates and Technical Task Orders (TTOs)
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Corporate / Group financial policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain both revenue recognition and cost analysis compiled in the Estimates At Completion (EAC)
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) as well as related schedules and budgets
- Prepare financial reports for assigned programs
- Communicate directly with Program Managers on project portfolio(s) status, to include identifying, documenting, resolving project issues, and reporting issues and risks to management
- Support monthly internal/external financial and program reviews
- Develop, report, monitor, and track program metrics/performance indices
- Provide weekly and/or monthly labor, and funding forecasts
- Support customer and Government audits, to meet FAR compliance
- Provide invoice forecasts to include unbilled reconciliation analysis
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Finance related field
- Relevant financial planning and analysis experience; preferably within the government contracting industry.
- Familiarity with the Project Control field and the ability to complete moderately complex assignments and work moderately complex contracts
- Familiarity of pricing and budgeting functions
- Ability to transfer subject matter expertise and understanding to other employees and / or internal customers regarding why work is performed the way it is and how it impacts the broader organization
- Good communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems for root cause and implement corrective action
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity of CAAS, GAAP, FAR, DFARs, and JTR
