THE ROLE
You have a passion for building state of the art e-commerce fulfillment platforms with a self-centric approach, providing a seamless experience to our end customers. You are self-motivated and can tackle ambiguous product requirements. You have the ability to learn quickly, iterate, and persist towards an optimized solution. You will be heavily involved with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into exciting end consumer features. You will deep-dive into understanding the business model, the various revenue generating streams and then working on building core components that can be used for piggy backing other fulfillment initiatives. You are passionate about optimizations for performance, maintainability, scalability, extensibility as needed. You will work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define technical strategy and requirements while leading cross functional development from design to deployment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with a team of software engineers to design, build and maintain elegant and performant front-end applications and experiences
- Lead projects and work closely with Product Managers, Designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to test and ship features following Agile practices
- Build, optimize, and maintain elegant abstractions, shareable components, and robust frameworks for internal and consumer-facing tools
- Eager to learn new technologies and open to learning from others
- Create amazing experiences for our users
- Provide mentorship for team members and help them grow in their technical responsibilities
- Thrive in a collaborative, fully remote environment
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- 4 years of industry engineering experience in a product-driven environment focusing on frontend or full-stack application development, technologies, and platforms
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally
- Works collaboratively across functions and teams
- Must have excellent knowledge and experience with Javascript and modern application development frameworks like React
- Working knowledge of GraphQL and GRPC
- Working knowledge of design tools, patterns, and libraries
The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $138,000-$180,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
