For our US operations, based out of Elizabethtown (KY), we are looking for a motivated account manager to join our retail/hardware sales team and support the growth ambitions of the Soudal brand in the US.
Job Description
Soudal is currently seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Supply Chain Manager. The Supply Chain Manager will be a part of a global supply and procurement team responsible for every stage of the organization’s supply chain, including negotiating and purchasing of materials to inventory planning, tracking, and control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels across finished goods, ensuring overall plant performance and goals.
- Forecasting and Planning: Assist in managing short and medium-term forecasts and supply plans, contributing to the development and execution of inventory strategies.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with our warehouse management team to drive supply chain and operational excellence, facilitating expansion to support company growth.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Collaborate effectively with various vendors and suppliers to uphold quality and safety standards. Develop and implement negotiation strategies to deliver cost savings.
- Performance Monitoring: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and track performance against Soudal’s expectations, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems associated with supply chain process using PDCA methodology of problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor employees, including safety guidelines and company culture, creating a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment aligned with Soudal’s strategic objectives. Help buyers negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage inventory, evaluate quality and goods.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management a plus. Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment serving in a supply chain/inventory management role.
- Deep Understanding of Supply Chain Processes: Proven history in supply chain management, inventory management with a keen understanding of industry best practices and processes. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 global standards and compliance preferred.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to independently execute tasks and escalate issues as needed.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, combined with strong project management capabilities to meet deadlines and milestones as set forth by the company.
