JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.
- Prepare and open patio/restaurant space for lunch service and/or close space after dinner service.
- Take customer orders over the phone and at to-go window.
- Double-check orders from kitchen before giving to customers.
- Shifts available selling prepared foods at Evanston, Logan Square and South Loop Farmers Markets - to include packing, transporting, setting up and breaking down our tent/table
- Shifts available working food truck, festivals and events
- Communicate and coordinate with customers, kitchen, and colleagues effectively
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
- Acknowledge and resolve any customer issues and complaints
- Keep up with side work
- Have knowledge of all our products and services with the ability answer questions accurately
- Provide customer and other feedback to the Soul & Smoke team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stay calm and respectful under stress and when customers are stressed or upset
- Able to walk/stand for most of shift
- Comfortable using computer and POS system
- Experience working with customer support
- Quick problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to multitask and keep organized
- Ability to work in a team
- Prior food experience and knowledge preferred
- Drivers' license preferred
- COVID vaccination
Job Details:
- JOB TYPE: Full-time (part-time is possible)
- PAY: From $17 per hour, plus pooled tips (usually $2-4 per hour additional).
- BENEFITS: Staff meals are provided daily, plus 50% dining discounts. Medical and dental insurance is available after 90 days for full-time employees.
