What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Sound + Fury Brewing?
Sound Fury Brewing is a brewery, bar, restaurant and event space, located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. We are currently looking for a server to join our expanding and evolving team, with potential to grow into future roles for the right candidate.
Servers here at Sound Fury are a key part of our team and should have a keen interest and a desire to learn about the craft beer industry. Restaurant experience is essential and beer knowledge is preferred.

Requirements
- Basic knowledge of craft beer
- Interest in continued professional development
- 2 Serving experience required
- Familiarity with Toast (POS) preferred but not required
- A strong commitment to excellent customer service
- Self-motivated team member who can show initiative to assist others as needed
- Night and weekend availability
- Reliable and dependable work ethic, communication and follow through
- Adherence to standards of service
Duties Include
- Continuous up-to-date awareness of beer, wine and spirits, as well as new developments with the brewery and brand
- Serving private events in our 6000sq ft bar and restaurant
- Maintaining clean serving stations throughout service
- Educating the customer craft beers made in house
- Exhibiting a friendly disposition while providing exquisite customer service
- Maintaining good verbal communication to management and staff during service
- Accurate and responsible handling of credit card and cash transactions.
- Carrying out all of our standards of practices (opening, closing and during service)
- Comfortable with side work
- End of night cash out and distribution of cash tips
- A willingness to be flexible about schedule when necessary
