Job Description:
Sound Start Babies located in Mountain Lakes, NJ is seeking a teacher's aide/paraprofessional classroom aide to join our team in our award winning nursery program. Children attending the nursery program are 18 months - 3 years of age, with and without hearing loss.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and curriculum
- Support students in their learning activities and provide individualized attention
- Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and address any challenges
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare, or private school
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Knowledge of toddler care, curriculum development, and educational principles
- Passion for educating and nurturing young minds
