What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community & Social Media Manager position at SoundHound Inc.?
SoundHound builds voice AI products that make it easier for people to engage with the world around them. We do this by creating custom voice assistants that make it possible for companies to extend their brand in new and meaningful ways. Today, our customized voice AI solutions allow people to talk to phones, cars, mobile apps, coffee machines, and every other part of the emerging ‘voice-first’ world.
Our marketing team is looking for an experienced community builder to significantly grow our social media following. The person in this role will understand how every connection to customers, prospects, and our communities—including influencers and investors—is an opportunity to strengthen our brand and grow our market share. THIS IS AN ON-CAMERA POSITION. Experience being on-camera in influencer videos and moderating webinars is preferable, but we’re open to candidates willing to create audition videos as part of the interview process, if no other content is available. They will also be responsible for managing all of our social media channels including content posting, managing engagement, and reporting key metrics.
We’re looking for this person to help us develop relevant and topical thought leadership content (with a heavy focus on video) that will generate a legitimate following amongst business executives, technologists, and product managers. They will be given access to experts within SoundHound for interviews and supported by an editor and graphic artist. We encourage them to attend industry events to build relationships with industry experts that build our credibility and engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for engaging with our current and future customers, and will have deep expertise in managing multiple platforms, analyzing performance, and building deeper relationships with hundreds of thousands of followers.
In this role you will:
- Manage social media marketing strategy, channels, content, campaigns, and day-to-day activities
- Develop a strategic social media marketing plan that incorporates our key messaging and KPIs that reflect our marketing, sales lead, and overall company goals
- Produce 1-2 videos per week for use in social media
- Recruit thought leaders in the AI community and targeted verticals (automotive, restaurants, smart homes, etc) to participate in our content
- Nurture our industry influencers and develop a wider influencer campaign to grow SoundHound's brand awareness and advocacy
- Curate relevant content to reach the audience most likely to engage, work with and/or advocate on behalf of our brands
- Develop a plan to extend the reach of our social media efforts through employee and executive engagement programs
- Plan and manage the publishing calendar, social objectives, and messaging. Write posts and source or create the visual images for these posts to align with the overall product and marketing plans
- Implement best practices for social listening, uploading, tagging, reporting, and optimization of channels
- Grow engagement, reach, and impact through proactive campaigns
- Collaborate with our creative team to produce engaging, relevant graphics that help increase engagement with social posts
- Analyze relevant data and report on social metrics, providing insights and recommendations as needed
- Partner with internal and external teams as needed to maximize social reach
- Collaborate with the recruiting team on content to aid in recruiting efforts
- Collaborate with Demand Gen team to create paid social media campaigns with messaging reflective of our overall company goals
We would love to hear from you if:
- 5 years of driving social media management for a brand preferably in the B2B tech space, including copywriting experience
- Comfort being on-camera regularly in company videos and webinars
- Well-organized, self-directed, and possessing excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- A keen understanding of the benefits and best practices of various social platforms
- Experience with analytics and proficient in tools to measure engagement
- Sound editorial judgment with an informed POV on content that will appeal to the brand demographics
- A passion for storytelling through multiple formats—both visual and written
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM/online media, analytics, web technology, mobile campaigns, community, and the concepts of creative and brand strategy preferred
