Job Summary
SoundWaters, a nonprofit environmental education organization based in Stamford, CT, is accepting
applications for Program Support Coordinator at the SoundWaters in Stamford, CT.

Founded in 1989, SoundWaters is the premiere environmental education organization focused on the
protection of Long Island Sound. SoundWaters works in partnership with individuals, schools, communities,
businesses, civic organizations, and other environmental and educational organizations to develop experiences
that foster a sense of responsibility and encourage actions that ensure the sustainable future of the Long
Island Sound ecosystem. At SoundWaters we believe that our community is stronger when we are all
connected to and learning from the Sound.

SoundWaters Program Support Coordinator is responsible for working with and providing administrative
support to the SoundWaters team members. S/he will coordinate program registration systems online, work
with school clients regarding program logistics and billing, provide customer service for charter and rental
clients, engage with summer program families and coordinate materials for Board of Directors meetings.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of related administrated support experience.

Education:

  • Minimum of Associates degree.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program Support
• Under direction of the VP of Programs and Director of Education, input program information to calendar,

create contracts, and generate invoices for school clients for the Coastal Education Center, Harbor Center
and Schooner SoundWaters.

  • Under direction of the VP of Programs and Director of Education, prepare and monitor online registration
systems for all SoundWaters programs.
  • Track student registration forms and monitor waiting lists for open-enrollment programs.
  • Under direction of the VP of Programs and Director of Education, communicate with parents regarding
Camp, after-school and open-enrollment programs.
  • Aggregate program surveys and other data from all programs and provide reports.
  • Under direction of the VP of Programs and Director of Education, support all program culminating events

including invitations and RSVPs, food/beverage planning and procurement, and event set up and clean up.

Facilities and Rentals
• Work with clients, captains and vendors to book private schooner charters.
  • Coordinate with clients and vendors for facility rentals/ private events at Harbor Center and Cove Island.
  • Under direction of SoundWaters leadership, communicate with facilities management vendors regarding
facilities-related issues and repairs.
  • Manage Harbor Center lobby video display and update daily.
  • Provide technical support for staff and guests for internet, teleconferencing and projection.
  • Track and order office supplies for Harbor Center and Coastal Education Center.
  • Greet and direct clients and visitors at Harbor Center.
Administrative Support
• Provide administrative support to the President.
  • Under direction of the President, provide administrative support for Board of Directors meetings, including
emails, phone calls and logistics for meetings and on-boarding of new Board members.
  • Provide administrative support to Development team with bulk mailings, special event preparations, and

other tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle for local travel with reimbursement.

Salary : $39,600 - $50,200
