Our client, a premier consumer product good manufacturer is seeking an experienced onsite Plant Controller for one of their regional plant manufacturing facilities.

In this position, you will provide direct support for all financial aspects of various business-related matters for this well-established company. Come see how you can really make things “count” and continue to drive your team to success!

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the accurateness of fixed assets, balance sheets, month end close including general ledger and reporting, forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditures and reconciliations.
Oversee daily production costs and variance analysis, bill of materials calculations and tracking, petty cash, accounts payable and receivable, billing, audits, business analysis, product recall tracking and reporting, financial reporting and cost accounting.
Correct wrong bookings, revenues, costs, provisions, and hours.
Fulfill financial project documentation and monthly reports.
Direct, manage and oversee an accounting staff that manage the functions for hourly payroll, accounts payable, customer billings, production, labor reporting and month end financial ad hoc reporting.
Facilitate daily work assignments to the local onsite accounting team.
Manage inter office invoicing and invoice follow-ups.
Perform sample counts of inventory on request or as needed.
Review reports generated by accounting personnel and ensure their accuracy and timeliness.
Establish procedures for periodic inventories, audits of all plant assets and to ensure that plant records reflect all the assets at hand.
Handle local tax, insurance issues and ensure all capital operations are approved.
Oversee the month end closing process and ensure that all expenses and revenues for the period have been accurately recorded.
Other monthly duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelors Accounting Degree REQUIRED.

8 years of accounting experience with a manufacturing company.
Full understanding and experience with payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, fixed assets, balance sheet, month end close including general ledger and reporting.
Experience with forecasting, budgeting and capital expenditures.
Prior experience directly supervising and managing an accounting staff.
Proficiency of Microsoft Excel & MS Office Suite.
Capable of interpreting and analyzing financial reports, cost analysis & comparison, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, general ledger accounting, billable materials.
Preference to candidates with excellent communication skills and prior SAP experience.
