What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position at Source4?
Source4 is growing and we’re looking for a supervisor to join our fulfillment team! This is a "working supervisor" position. Individual will be responsible for receiving inbound and shipping outbound shipments and help manage inventory in our warehouse with a focus on receiving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Two years of related experience in shipping and receiving
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory methods and procedures
- Experience working with UPS Worldship and FEDEX Computer Systems
- Complete understanding of shipping and receiving documents including bill of ladings, invoices, orders, and/or other records
- Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Identify incoming packages for receiving. Match up with ISN when available.
- Accurately count, label, and fill out receiving forms for all products to receiving into our system.
- Follows structured receiving process (labeling, weighing, inspecting for damage).
- Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services. UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request.
- MUST be able to lift boxes weighing up to 40lbs easily, and for long periods of time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analysis, and decision making skills
- Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Acute attention to detail
- Job requires majority of the day is spent on your feet
- Computer skills required for Excel lists, UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and other related software applications
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Could be asked to support other parts of the operations including picking orders, kitting, loading and unloading at the dock, physical inventory counts.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
