· Support the mission, vision, and values of SBCA.
· Employ a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom.
· Continue to update knowledge of content area(s) taught.
· Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum and student abilities.
· Develop rigorous assessments that correlate with classroom instruction.
· Update monthly curriculum plans to match instruction.
· Seek to actively know students' strengths and weaknesses and respond promptly with care to parent concerns.
· Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
· Maintain an accurate and organized system for monitoring student grades and records.
· Prepare thorough parent-teacher conference reports and written documentation on student progress.
· Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
· Maintain substitute plans, schedule substitutes in a timely manner, and notify administration in advance.
· Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, and improve as a teacher.
· Engage in goal setting and review process with school administrators.
· Attend and participate in all required faculty meetings.
· Attend and support school events as requested.
· Support leadership and colleagues.
· Maintain a positive attitude and approach.
· Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
· Represent the school in the larger community in a positive manner.
· Assist with projects and school-wide initiatives as requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the school administrators.
