What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterilization Technician position at South Bend Endodontics?

Overview

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining infection control practices to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, or clean all laboratory or healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and dental procedures.
  • Responsible for examining, testing and monitoring certain items, such as autoclaves, to ensure they are operating properly. 
  • Responsible for the breakdown and set up of treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next exam or treatment. 

Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years of work experience
