Sanitation Lead

Job Purpose

Assists the Sanitation Supervisor in assuring all sanitation and housekeeping activities for all shifts are compliant with the Sanitation Master Cleaning Schedule (SMCS).

Ensure that the building interior and exterior is clean, and to inform the Sanitation Supervisor of any areas needing attention.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that the Master Cleaning Schedule as well as the daily housekeeping records are completed, up to date and filed accordingly.
• Coordinates with the warehouse to ensure all housekeeping duties are completed in a timely manner, as well as the required documentation is completed.
• Follow up with other sanitation employees to ensure duties are being done in a quick and timely manner.
• Responsible for weekly inventory items for Sanitation; and monthly inventory of supplies.
• Ensures that all Sanitation / Housekeeping signage is posted and in good condition (Hand Wash Procedures, Color Coding, Chemical Information).
• Ensures all Sanitation employees are following all company food safety and personal safety policies and procedures, and is wearing PPE as required.
• Maintain a safe and sound environment.
• Serves as intermediate line of defense for food safety and quality.
• Supports the South Coast Baking Excellence Philosophy.
• Good communication skills (i.e. other department supervisors and managers).
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Must have flexible hours and be willing to work long hours as needed.
• Attend production shut down for sanitation as requested by the Sanitation/Safety Supervisor.
• Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Capable of accurate record keeping.
• Basic computer knowledge (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint,…etc)
• One or more years of manufacturing experience as a sanitation or production employee in a food manufacturing facility.
