Clinician

The Clinician with our SB Wrap Program is responsible for the implementation of assessments and psychotherapy services provided to the referred children and their family members. The major responsibilities include delivery of individual psychotherapy, group therapy, group discussion, family therapy, and education. In addition, the Clinician is responsible for coordinating Mental Health services and Link and Consultation services in a manner to ensure follow-through on court-ordered service plans, IEP Mental Health Plans, or the development of a plan for families that are referred. All services must be documented as required by the Medi-Cal standard of care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to author and produce their own emails, letters, reports, and other documents in a professional manner. That is, documents and correspondence should be relatively free of grammar and spelling errors.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees within the organization, including peers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to appear to work every day and on time. Must have reliable transportation as travel up to 2 hours between office locations and within the community is required.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to understand and follow posted, printed, and/or electronic work rules and procedures.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism in a respectful, open, and interactive manner.
- Experience working with people over the phone.
- Must have the ability to perform efficiently and effectively with multiple interruptions.
- Knowledge in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, ability to handle crisis situations, and also (formulate and utilize) case conceptualization skills, as well as, group and family therapy skills.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining a caseload averaging 15-20 families. Maintain standard productivity
- Completes Assessment, Diagnosis, and all other required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Develops the Client Recovery Plan in conjunction with the Family Team.
- Provides individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy as determined by the Child and Family Teams and reflected in the Family’s Plan in the Family’s home and/or community.
- Completes documentation of services provided within the Medi-Cal standards. Completes required reports on time and in a professional manner.
- Attends all required meetings as representative of SCCS and client when appropriate.
- Maintains a good relationship with other agencies.
- Be available for Crisis Intervention Response
- Follow on-call policy while fulfilling periodic rotation as On-Call Facilitator
- When not On-Call, the work cell phone must be operational at all times. The employee must screen all calls within 10 minutes, and return or forward calls that are urgent unless the employee is on pre-approved vacation. It is permissible to screen calls after 5 pm and respond accordingly.

Qualifications
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
2. Bilingual Spanish is required.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
- PSY/LCSW/MFT/LPCC preferred. If not licensed, active registration with the California BBS or Board of Psychology as a Registered Psychologist.
- Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
- Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
