- Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess excellent time management skills, demonstrate an optimistic and energetic attitude, exhibit a team orientation towards goal achievement, possess strong writing skills, and have a good sense of humor. Bachelor’s degree required with previous full-time higher education experience and familiarity with online education and dual credit enrollment preferred.
Participate in daily recruiting and counseling activities in the Admissions Office, with specific responsibilities for recruiting full and part-time online and Huron Community Campus and high school dual credit students.
Work in close cooperation with, and serve as back up to, the Assistant Director of Admissions Operations/Transfer Student Coordinator.
Assist high school, re-entry, and first-time students in person, on the phone, and via electronic media.
Review and process online and off-campus student applications for admission consistent with office, University, and South Dakota Board of Regents policy.
Meet and exceed yearly fall, spring, and summer term student recruitment goals.
Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders including the Office of Continuing Education, Registrar’s Office, Academic Advisors, high school administrators and school counselors, and parents.
Conduct regular recruitment and advising travel to Huron Community Campus and to local high schools via daytime trips.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
