The USD Department of English seeks an instructor to teach a range of general education and more advanced writing courses in a nine-month, full-time position with benefits. Teaching responsibilities may include Composition I, Composition II, Business Writing, and/or Professional Writing. Courses may be face-to-face or online modalities. This position has a teaching expectation of 24 credits per year with some departmental service expectations.
Required qualifications:
1) an advanced degree in English (Masters or equivalent)
2) demonstration of teaching excellence
Preferred qualifications:
1) additional work experience, training, or certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages
2) experience teaching in online modalities
This position will begin in August of 2024. First review of applications will begin on June 10, 2024 and continue until the position is filled.
