Then the SDSU Connect Coordinator at South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is the place for you. Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for External Affairs, this position will coordinate SDSU Connect events, including 2,000 Sioux Falls middle school student visits to campus. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Associate Vice President for External Affairs in coordinating a campus field trip for every Sioux Falls Public School student before finishing eighth grade;
- Assist in linking Sioux Falls business, government, schools, and non-profits to the university’s resources to increase enrollment, enhance workforce opportunities, increase internships, grow research and other opportunities to benefit Sioux Falls, the state of South Dakota and SDSU;
- Independently respond to phone calls, correspondence and email inquiries as appropriate and provide information that may require sensitivity, tact and independent judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality or related field by the date of application;
- At least one year of experience in higher education admissions, hospitality, event planning, or education,
- Strong organizational skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; and
- A valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
