Systems Administrator

DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for maintenance and security of computer systems and end user software/hardware. Assists in maintenance of data integrity and security, firewalls, VPNs, remote networks, backup and restore procedures. Monitors and troubleshoots problems with LAN/WAN.  Resolves end-user hardware/software issues. Reviews datacenter needs for efficiency, procurement and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Information Systems or 4 years’ experience in Information Systems or other computer related fields. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Enterprise products, Active Directory, Virtualization, SAN Storage and network hardware including switches, routers, Wi-Fi, internet content filtering and intrusion prevention systems. Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10 and 11, Server 2022, VMware.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES:  Knowledge/experience in troubleshooting and fixing software and hardware conflicts, installing and maintaining workstations and networks, backup software, Microsoft SQL, and VMware vSphere. Knowledgeable about current threats and security practices necessary to maintain a secure network environment.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to communicate in a professional manner with team members, equipment/software vendors, support technicians, users and supervisors about technical issues.

LOCATION: Pierre, SD

STARTING SALARY: A minimum salary of $2,906.67 per semi-monthly pay period.
