Budget Analyst

SDSU Accounting team professionals support the university and expand their career opportunities through continuous process improvement and exposure to multiple aspects of university finance.

Job Responsibilities: To support the accounting department in their joint work with Facilities and Services by preparing managerial reports, overseeing proper accounting of transactional activity, and providing data analysis used for monitoring and accounting for various funding sources across multiple projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:

• Accounting, budgeting, and/or business

Skill & Ability to:

• Demonstrate high level technical skills in spreadsheet and report writing;
• Use a computer and applicable accounting and project management software;
• Research, compile and analyze data, providing high level of accuracy with attention to detail;
• Prioritize, organize, and execute a variety of tasks efficiently;
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships; and
• Communicate financial information clearly, concisely, and accurately to others in a professional manner.

Pay: $22.06 - $24.80 per hour
