Location: Administrative Services Building
Department: ACCOUNTING
Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Enter and verify payroll information is accurate and timely.
- Process retroactive payments submitted by Human Resources.
- Process donation of PTO hours in payroll and time and attendance system.
- Adhere to payroll policy and procedures.
- Create and submit reports as requested by department leads or Payroll Manager.
- Ensure all new hires are in time and attendance accurately.
- Process garnishments received.
- Create and submit payroll check requests to accounts payable.
- Maintain and monitor payroll deduction general ledger accounts.
- review audit register prior to positing payroll bi-weekly for the health system.
- Maintain organized and accurate files with proper documentation.
- Submit child support and US Treasury payments online.
- Assist Payroll Manager with special projects as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High School Degree with vocational or college related accounting courses. Payroll and clerical experience preferred.
- Familiarity with garnishments and wage attachments.
- Ability to work independently with respect to details in repetitive tasks.
- Able to work efficiently under stressful situations.
- Substantial knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Excel.
- Experience with payroll and time tracking software is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS- ADA INFORMATION:
Business setting, comfortable conditions, indoors with possibility of irregular hours upon request. Moderate stress at times. Some standing, bending, stretching and lifting required.
