Responsibilities:
1. Interviews and evaluates individuals to determine degree of disability, limitations, need for accommodation and job coaching
2. Assists in preparing individuals to observe and/or participate in work situations consistent with their desires, aptitudes
and physical limitations
3. Participates in job development activities to help secure employment and expand employer contacts for referrals
4. Provides job coaching, education, and training; intervenes when appropriate guide individual in performing job responsibilities
5. Instructs individuals in appropriate behaviors including work habits, dress, and hygiene
6. Interfaces with job site supervisor to monitor performance and progress; keeps progress notes of all activities on a weekly basis
7. Provides travel and other life skills training as appropriate to each individual under the direction of the supervisor
8. Interacts and participates in staff meetings and educational seminars to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED required
· Associates or Bachelors Degree in Human Services field preferred
· Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals
· Knowledge of various disabilities including cognitive disabilities and Spectrum disorders
· Excellent communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
