South Plains Implement is seeking to hire an Administrative Accounting Assistant for our San Angelo dealership. This role will include both Administrative and Accounting specific job duties.
Administrative Responsibilities:
o Answer incoming calls, serve customer needs, direct calls appropriately
o Communicate with others to answer accounting questions or resolve issues
o Perform accounting duties such as cash deposits, recording routine or recurring transactions o Reconcile various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
o Verify accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment and make correcting entries
o Scanning account payables to Lubbock Corporate Office
o Additional Miscellaneous Office Jobs as asked
o Maintain an attitude that promotes teamwork
Accounting Responsibilities:
o Enters data into various accounting systems or accounts including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
o Reconciles various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
o Verifies accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment, and recommending corrections to the transaction originator
o Analyzes and processes documents after examining for completeness and accuracy
o Communicates with others in the organization to answer accounting questions or resolve issues
o May specialize in areas such as accounts payable or accounts receivable or John Deere settlements
o Gathers, reviews, and analyzes statistical information
Administrative Accounting Assistant Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o o 5 years in an accounting or bookkeeper position
o Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets
o Knowledge of accounting systems
o Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
o Understanding of financial concepts such as budgets, Return on Investment (ROI), and Net Operating Return on Assets (NORA)
o High level of attention to detail and accuracy
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
o Ability to use various computer programs specific to the position
o High level of attention to detail and accuracy
o Degree in an Accounting/Finance/Business discipline preferred
