Overview
The Digital Marketing Manager takes a leadership role in the development and management of Southco’s online presence. This person works with marketing teams and stakeholders globally to develop and execute a digital marketing strategy that keeps Southco in a leadership position. They will manage a Digital Marketing group with an operating budget of over $400,000 that creates and carries out campaigns which include email, website referrals, and pay-per-click campaigns. They oversee Southco’s social media presence and ensure consistency across all digital content, from email to social media to southco.com. They are responsible for scoping projects, communicating with the cross-functional development teams, and working with their Digital Marketing group to carry out the projects. In addition they will manage some projects directly. They are responsible for integrating Southco’s marketing automation software with our CRM software to ensure the leads are processed in the correct manner.
Qualifications
- 4 year degree in marketing or technical field.
- 3 – 5 years web design or development experience.
- 3 – 5 years of prior experience with Marketo (preferred) or other Marketing Automation software required.
- Strong technical skills in HTML, javascript, css.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Google Analytics is a plus.
- 7 plus years overall marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage Digital Marketing Team – Manage the Digital Marketing team of 1 to 5 people. Ensure they understand their role and have the knowledge and training to perform. Set the day to day priorities of the team. Manage resources across the TouchPoint companies as needed or requested by each company. Develop PDRs for the team and review them with them regularly. Conduct mid-year and annual reviews.
- Manage Digital Marketing Objectives – Gather goals, needs, and other input from global marketing team and stakeholders and create a digital marketing plan to meet Southco’s global objectives. Communicate this plan, ensure there is alignment, and carry out the plan. Perform this function and be the Digital Marketing champion in the other TouchPoint companies.
- Marketing Automation - Utilize the Marketo marketing automation software for email campaigns, and landing page development and deployment. Work with other Southco and TouchPoint marketing groups to develop nurturing campaigns and lead management programs to develop leads for the sales team. Integrate Marketo with Salesforce.com.
- Main Website – Oversee the content on Southco’s main website. Ensure product database is up-to-date and accurate. Integrate Marketo landing pages and tracking codes. Manage multi-lingual web content through the website Content Management System.
- Social Media Websites – Manage Southco’s presence on the social media websites. Develop / maintain Southco’s blog site and ensure the content system works appropriately. Ensure the proper functionality of Southco’s website. Provide support to TouchPoint companies as needed.
- CRM Integration and Lead Management – Work with the Southco sales team to develop and maintain a lead scoring, nurturing, and processing program that develops leads to become sales-ready and passes them to the correct queues for processing in SFDC. Provide support to TouchPoint companies as needed.
- Global Southco and TouchPoint Oversight – Work with Southco and TouchPoint regional marketing teams to enable their use of our digital marketing tools. Set best practices and ensure these are being followed at Southco.
