Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Hospitalist – Req # 77202

Tobey Hospital – Day Position

Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned Physician. Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations and follow-up care visits which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations. Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and establish appropriate/ timely treatment plans.

We are a fast-paced, established, patient centered practice that provides quality care to our patients.

Hours: Full-time – 40 hours
Shift: 7a-7p, 8a - 7p Day shift, weekend & holiday rotation
 
Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.

 

  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.

 

  • Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License is required. 

 

  • Minimum one-year experience required

 

  • Hospital Inpatient Adult Medicine experience preferred
