We are searching for a Supply Chain Specialist who will actively perform and lead multifaceted supply chain and inventory analysis and has responsibility across the organization for the following: 1) Prepare and publish key supply chain reports on a timely basis. These reports will be monthly, quarterly, and annual; 2) Provide forward thinking innovation and best practices across supply chain, while assisting in the implementation of strategic initiatives; 3) Compile, analyze and validate data on projected savings, inventory turns and supplier spend as well as identifying underperforming areas in the supply chain and suggest improvements or resolutions to problems; 4) Participate in supply chain optimization projects and offer suggestion for future projects; 5) Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, and IT professional for the purpose of improving supply chain performance. Independently interface directly with various leadership to communicate and interpret analysis in such a way that provides strategic input for decision making. May assist in the negotiation of supplier contracts or service arrangements. May provide functional or technical leadership over teams in the same or closely related classifications where scope of responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc
- Hours: 40hrs
- Shift: Day shift; 8:00am-4:30am
- Location: Southcoast Business Center – Fairhaven, MA
- Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is required.
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Experience with data mining, analysis and reporting is required.
- Familiarity with supply chain operations (e.g. Inventory, purchasing, finance, and ect.) is required.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc. in addition to MS Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel, Access and PowerPoint; in a supply chain setting for statistical compilation, analysis and presentation is required.
- Must be able to analyze inventory and purchasing transactions and effectively present data in written and graphic formats.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve as well as working collaboratively across multiple business teams.
- Minimum of five years experience with a minimum of three years in a supply chain role required. (i.e. Purchasing, Inventory, Reporting, etc.)
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus and provide required vaccination documentation unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
