Physician Assistant

Southcoast Spine and Pain is a pain management practice specializing in the treatment of spine and joint pain (knee,hip, shoulder arthritis). We are an ethical practice, dedicated to treating patients with respect, dignity, and appropriate care. Our office is in the Village at Woodside in Aiken, S.C.

We have found great success using biologic therapies and have been part of the Bluetail Network of regenerative physicians for the last 5 years. Using Bone Marrow, PRP and other biologic therapies we have helped patients find pain relief without surgery. This is the focus of our practice!

We need an outgoing, affable, and (though it seems distasteful to mention this with regard to medicine) even sales-oriented medical person who can help us find the right way to offer these exciting and effective treatments to patients. This is not the typical P.A. job and you must be outgoing and have a sales mentality, in order to be successful. We believe in these exciting therapies, have had much success, but most are not covered by insurance.

Pay would definitely depend on the candidate. The right person, with experience, capability and self-motivation would make base pay, but also be bonused based on their work.

Please note, this is not the typical P.A. job. This applicant needs to be able to do the job of a typical Orthopedic or Pain based physician assistant, but he or she also needs to have interest in the use of biologic therapy, believe as we do that it can help, and be able to present these options to patients in an appropriate manner. Clearly some individuals are better suited to this than others. The pay could eventually be much more than you would make in traditional settings, but this would take time. Our goal would be to have you start one day a week and then reassess as time goes on.
