Job Scope/Overview
As a leading airport logistics service provider, we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic team member focused on delivering quality customer service. As a Federal Inspection Station Agent, you will be working at the Airside, providing Customer Service to international Passengers, and communicating with Customer Border Protection (CBP) and GOAA management.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Gates: Responsible for communicating the arrival of each international flight to GOAA leads. Communicate flight number, arrival time, gate, and carousel used. The gate agent is also responsible to set the sterile corridor to “International” mode when the flight arrives, and to “Domestic” mode once all passengers and crew members deplane. Monitors the sterile corridor for security breaches, and immediately communicates discrepancies to the lead, SAS Supervisor, and GOAA Supervisor.
- Carousels: Assist with the delivery of bags into the baggage control area of FIS. Move, arrange, and adjust baggage on the assigned carousel to accommodate additional bags. In case of contingencies, safely move baggage to the next working belt as directed by the GOAA supervisor.
- Recheck: Provide Customer Service to arriving international passengers by providing directions, and information, and maintaining passengers flowing through the recheck area. Assist passengers by advising them to either take their checked bags with them, if they can manage, or to place them on the recheck belts, for transportation to the main terminal. Retrieve baggage cart and return to FIS area to be reused. Direct passengers to airline representatives and TSA officers when connecting to other flights.
- Hallways: Ensure the safe transition of passengers taking escalators with their luggage. Maintain Passenger flow through the shuttle area. Provide information and directions to passengers and answer their questions.
- Rover: Help gate agents when needed. Help with the carousel and recheck as needed. Replace another agent when they go for their breaks.
Requirements:
- Able to communicate in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/holidays and weekends.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to frequently and steadily lift baggage at 90 pounds or above
- Must be self-motivated and willing to learn
- Customer service driven.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check to be badged in secure areas of an airport
