Job Summary and Position Objective: This position works closely with the Branch Managers, Installation Managers, and Florida Warehouse Manager of Southeast Floors to deliver exceptional service to our customers while ensuring accurate cuts and a properly stocked inventory. The overall execution of warehouse cleanliness and organization is a key component of this position.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares daily cuts and loads them into the outbound rack
- Assists with morning roll out
- Manages roll tag process for all material
- Ensures all carpet & sheet vinyl have updated and that there’s accurate information on roll tags
- Receives installation materials from vendors & couriers
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
- Loads transfers and verifies receipt accuracy
- Material delivery to installation sites, as needed
- Responsible for warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Cleans the cutting machine area, changes the cutting machine blades, disposes of plastic and tubes, removes the warehouse dust using the air blower, organizes all next day orders, etc.
- Administers routine maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment
- Maintains AOR (area of responsibility) assigned by Branch Manager
- Checks/organizes the allocations, sends them to the corporate office, & adjusts the inventory accordingly
- Allocates the incoming & outgoing material in the racks
- Updates the carpet inventory on a daily basis
- Saves all new roll numbers in the inventory
- Reorganizes all left over material from the day before and reenters it into the inventory system
- Verifies the next day schedule and prints the allocations
- Notifies the Installation Manager when the schedule is getting full
- Communicates to the Branch Manager & Purchasing Manager when material needs to be ordered
- Communicates to the appropriate personnel when there is an order with incorrect cuts
- Operates forklift and replaces the forklift propane
- Responds to and updates order emails, inventory emails, and billing emails
Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours/week
- Monday through Friday from 9:30am – 6:00pm - flexibility preferred
- Must be willing to work Saturdays in the summertime, as needed
