Job Summary


This position is responsible for providing superior customer service to all current and prospective members and customers of HealthPoint Fitness. Included in these services is the sale of memberships and services to new members, in addition to all activities that support current members, the café area, the front desk, the meeting rooms and the pro shop area. This position is responsible for tours and properly signing up new members for the fitness facility. This position also has the benefit of direct contact with every member at every visit, and is in the best place to obtain customer feedback and pass this information along to management in an effort to improve retention, and thus HealthPoint's financial outcome.



Essential Functions
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly, welcoming environment, building relationships and encouraging our members, communicating effectively and demonstrating concern, professionalism and integrity in all customer dealings
  • Provides an excellent sales experience for our prospective members in the form of tours, verbalizing benefits of HealthPoint Fitness, both Cape and Jackson, in an effort to sell memberships and services. Also responsible for accurately completing all necessary paperwork and forms required to start, freeze and cancel memberships. This includes financial information, annual contracts, health and medical information and liability releases. This may take the form of hard documentation or the input of this information into our software system
  • Creates and efficiently serves café drinks to our customers. This includes all hot beverages (such as lattes and espresso drinks), coffee and shake products. Also makes sandwiches and restocks all cold beverages and all café packaged items
  • Responsible for knowing the benefits of our products in the Pro Shop area, selling items, restocking shelves and keeping the area looking clean and inviting. Assist in marketing, merchandising and replenishing items in the Pro Shop area
  • Responsible for point of sale transactions and effectively using the CSI software. Also for checking in members, picture taking, scheduling conference rooms and massages, locker sales and guest registrations
  • Provides input and feedback obtained by customers in an effort to improve the services that are provided by HealthPoint Fitness Cape and Jackson
  • Responsible for the accurate reconciliation of cash drawers by counting down the cash to a pre-determined amount and reconciling to the POS sales by shift or day, and general accuracy with transactions
  • Provide for a secure environment by checking member ID’s and dealing with those situations where the public tries to gain unauthorized access, offering locks to our members, and checking drivers licenses of guest members. Allowing access only to members.
  • Maintain an awareness of all promotions, services and programs at HealthPoint Fitness in an effort to effectively communicate these to our members
  • Keep the front desk, café service and customer areas clean and inviting. Assist with the merchandising and marketing of the café area and items
  • Professionally and courteously answers phone inquires
  • Perform all services for HealthPoint Café including setup, cleaning and maintenance and keeping accurate logs in conjunction with the requirements of the Cape County Health Department
  • Understands and adheres to Cape County Health Department and ServSafe requirements
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all departments of HealthPoint
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled department meetings in an effort to improve the products and services provided by HealthPoint Fitness
  • Performs job duties in such a way to meet the needs of different populations and ages
  • Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years Food services and/or sales preferred
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Upon Hire required
