Position: Position: IT Project Manager, Full-Time Position
Reports to the Director of Information Systems
Compensation: Salary Range: $120,000 to $145,000
Bonus: Up to20% of salary
Phone allowance of $100 per month ($1,200 per annum)
Health insurance including dental, vision, long-term disability, and life, up to 70% employer-paid, available immediately
Up to 4-weeks of vacation 3-weeks in years 1-3, 4-weeks in year 4
Job Summary
The IT Project Manager supports operations by managing large and/or multiple projects with significant impact on business processes and technology used company-wide. This position develops tactical plans with substantial latitude to implement technologies or resolve issues in the best interests of our Operations teams. This individual will provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems and will have extensive contact with our customers, including regular correspondence with ops leadership and daily interaction with field ops. Projects will be managed from proposal to defining requirements to planning and implementation, involving multiple subject matter experts, project & How-To documentation, and appropriate hand-offs. The ideal candidate will either bring or quickly obtain a deep understanding of the technologies in use in our organization. They will become subject matter experts on various internal systems, using all available resources to maintain and improve these systems for our Operators, and regularly communicate updates internally and provide training collateral as needed.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Director of Information Systems in the management of the IT function and the timely and efficient delivery of IT services and support to operations, our customers.
· Accountable for the delivery of effective and efficient customer service and IT service management to operations
· Work collaboratively with the IT team to install, maintain, and support computer systems and communications networks, ensuring systems operate at the highest level of performance and availability.
· Works in close collaboration with the Director of Information Systems in providing leadership, direction, and guidance to staff and managing operational activities to achieve the department’s long and short-range goals and business objectives.
· Assists the Director of Information Systems in formulating and implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
· Identifies and facilitates training and professional development opportunities for staff to support skill development.
· Develops, prepares, presents, and maintains project plans, including staffing requirements, cost estimates, detailed budgets, and schedules.
· Deliver systems on appropriate platforms in compliance with established technology standards, including monitoring, testing, executing quality assurance checks, and ensuring information technology acceptance criteria are met before implementation.
· Author or co-author various documentation throughout the project life cycle, including Statement of Work (SOW), issue log, status report, deployment plan, technical support documentation, etc.
· Document project status and communicate timely and accurate status to appropriate levels and stakeholders
· Drive recommendations to improve the use and/or support of our technology platforms.
· Establish relationships with and work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
· Assists in preparing, monitoring, and administering the annual budget for the department, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
· Prepare and deliver reports or analyses with recommendations from various data sources based on business need.
· Evening and weekend activities are frequently required based on the needs of the business.
· Some occasional travel to our locations is required to maintain customer focus.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 10 years of technical experience in the industry preferred
· 5 years of experience in a Project Management role preferred, specifically for IT Projects
· Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is not required but is a plus
· Advanced computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
· Able to deliver projects in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
· Proficient at presenting to key business and project stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
