Southeast Tennessee Adult Education is seeking qualified applicants for the Adult Basic/Secondary Education Instructor position to be located at the Athens Industrial Complex. The position may require travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements. The person in this position will teach all content areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Other responsibilities may include proctoring and recording exams. The candidate will assist students in attaining goals and transitioning to career. The candidate will develop lesson plans based on CCRS Standards and deliver instruction in preparation for the HiSET. The candidate will maintain a classroom conducive to learning and integrate technology into classroom instruction daily. The candidate will teach workforce preparation classes in addition to ABE/ASE. The candidate will attend required trainings. The candidate will communicate with Adult Education Staff on student progress and scores.

Proficiency in google docs, Microsoft word and excel is required. The Candidate should have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The candidate should be a team player.
