School Psychologist

Southeastern is seeking a school psychologist for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time, school year position that reports to the Director of Special Education. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The school psychologist: -Administers a variety of individual assessments to evaluate students intellectual, academic, social, behavioral, and/or emotional skills.-Prepares evaluation reports for families, students, and staff.-Assists students and their families in understanding his/her/their learning profile and identifying effective strategies to maximize performance across contexts.-Provides individual and group counseling services to develop appropriate executive function, academic, social, emotional, and behavior skills.-Implements accommodations and offers individualized support and strategies to students in the event the student experiences conflict, emotional dysregulation, or a personal crisis.-Supports students in the classroom setting to enhance generalization of acquired skills.-Consults with classroom teachers to support the integration of strategies and supports in the classroom setting.-Collects data to monitor progress towards goals and objectives.-Prepares quarterly progress notes for families.-Collaborates with teachers and parents to identify and implement appropriate strategies to support skills development across settings.-Makes appropriate referrals to appropriate mental health, medical social services or community agencies when deemed necessary.-Serves as a resource to staff, students and families to support the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.-Maintains student records and protects confidentiality.-Participates in IEP team meetings and other meetings upon request.-Participates in special education department meetings, staff conferences, and in-service programs.-Assumes responsibility for continued professional development by attending conferences and workshops.-Maintains professional affiliations.-Maintains appropriate certification.-CPI trainer for school staff-All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.Qualifications: -Masters Degree in Education.-All requirements met in accordance with the Department of Education for Massachusetts State Certification in School Psychology.-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.-Certified as a BCBA preferred
