AA/EEO Employer   DescriptionThe Director of Information Technology Services is responsible for implementing and maintaining business-enabling technology and making recommendations concerning SAU Tech's technology structure. The Director of Information Technology reports to the Chancellor. Examples of DutiesEssential Functions: Maintain the administrative computer system and academic computer network. Maintain the JICS server. Provide administrative system support for Brightspace, Starfish and A LS software. Develop and maintain a detailed security system for both the administrative and academic networks. Monitor security system to insure integrity of data. Responsible for upgrades and enhancements to the networks, including software and hardware. Write specifications for recommended additions. Approve all campus computer purchases. Develop and maintain central printing system and a distributed printing operation for the administrative computer system. Prepare and monitor the Information Technology Services budget. Supervise Information Technology Services support staff and assign priorities to requests for services. Supervise the operations of computer-related activities of all instructional labs. Maintain the Active Directory, Exchange, APlus, and Alertus servers on campus.Supervise the management of the Windows Hyper-V environment.Provide management for the Document Imaging System.Supervise the management of VPN connections to SAU Tech’s off campus locations.Manage and support the VOIP telephone system and IP phones.Administrative support for the Hyper-V environment. Manages the annual Computer Lease Program.Technical contact for the AREON network. Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned. Minimum/Preferred QualificationsEducation : Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) Experience : Four to ten years related experience Preferred Qualification: Experience with the Jenzabar system. Supplemental InformationWORK ENVIRONMENT The Director of Information Technology has regular contact with agency/institution personnel, the general public and various program-related state and federal agencies. Occasional work other than normal office hours and occasional travel may be required.
