What are the responsibilities and job description for the University Housing Painter and Maintenance Supervisor position at Southern Arkansas University?
Duties: responsible for the selection, supervision, and training, as needed, of multiple student and extra help workers throughout the calendar year in an apprentice like environment; planning paint projects within University Housing and preparing for and providing plans and budgets for these projects; ensuring maintenance at all housing facilities operated by University Housing; power washing, cleaning, painting, making needed repairs, and pool maintenance, basic plumbing and other duties as assigned. Job does have a weekly and rotating weekend on call components.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree preferred; experience with hands-on maintenance; knowledge of management of projects; excellent interpersonal communication skills.
