JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Support Analyst role is responsible for collecting, organizing, maintaining, and analyzing data to gain insights that enable better decision-making and operational effectiveness of the Network Services organization. Network Services provides planning, design, procurement, implementation, support, maintenance, and project/program management of Southern Company’s data, wireless, voice, and firewall networks.

The IT Support Analyst will work collaboratively with the leadership team, architects, engineers, and others across the Technology Organization (TO) to automate and support the organization’s day-to-day business operations and long-term strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and provide analytical and reporting support, including metrics, performance indicators, dashboards, data interpretation, and monthly/annual scorecard for Network Services.

Organize and analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and assist with continuous process improvements.

Lead asset management initiatives to clean up and put more visibility on physical assets (operational & warehouse) and associated licensing & support contracts. Model contract renewals and associated budget.

Assist with lifecycle planning and reporting of End of Sale/Life/Support (EoX) devices to facilitate selection of annual lifecycle projects.

Become Sitetracker Subject Matter Expert and lead cross-functional teams to automate and streamline business processes.

Assist Lifecycle Program Manager with reporting to track program progress, budgets, year-end projections, successes, and pain points.

Assist with network monitoring reporting, auditing, quality control, and documentation standards and best practices.

Provide organization and administration of SharePoint and Teams sites.

Develop stats and reporting for our Code & Configuration Program.

Assist with training program development and reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS : (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering, or related degree.

Experience with reporting and analytics development, implementation, and automation, along with data analysis and interpretation.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

Experience with Power BI, Sitetracker, Salesforce, and/or other dashboard or visualization tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Self-starter with the ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities and responsibilities, meet schedules, and deliver on commitments.

Experience in a network, telecom, and/or information systems role is a bonus but not required.

General/Leadership Competencies:

Effectively lead meetings and develop & deliver PowerPoint presentations.

Ability to embrace, influence, and lead change.

Ability to build relationships and work as a team although geographically dispersed.

Work Location & Hours:

This position will be performed within a hybrid environment and work may be performed remotely. Reporting to an office location each day is not expected or required.

The successful candidate can reside anywhere in the US with preference for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, or Illinois. Relocation assistance is not offered with this position.

This position is an exempt/salaried position. Typical workdays and hours are Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM with flexibility.

The successful candidate will be required to attend occasional meetings, training, or other on-site events and must be willing to travel and attend in person when necessary or requested.
