Job Overview
We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist that loves building long lasting, healthy relationships with patients, with a can-do attitude and proactive nature. As a Dental Hygienist you will a valued clinical provider that advocates for patients and provides exceptional patient care through the most current guidelines by the American Academy of Periodontology, ADA and ADHA. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care based on most current guidelines provided by the American Academy of Periodontology, ADA and ADHA guidelines- specifically related to periodontal disease, radiographs, standard of care.
- Follow all HIPPA and OSHA guidelines
- Be comfortable with thoroughly, efficiently performing clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to, as applicable by practice and or state law:
- Review and update medical history at every visit, record patient’s blood pressure, and ensure all appropriate consent forms are signed prior to treatment
- Expose and evaluate diagnostic radiographs, intraoral photos/scans
- Complete a full periodontal assessment on every patient, every visit
- Review treatment with doctor and educate each patient on treatment needs
- Perform routine dental prophylaxis for periodontally healthy patients
- Perform Non-surgical periodontal therapy (scaling/root planing) and provide associated adjunctive therapy including antimicrobials, antibiotics on periodontally compromised patients (as allowable by State Board/Certification)
- Administer local anesthesia, monitor/provide Nitrous Oxide (as allowable by state Board of Dentistry and certification)
- Screen for Oral Cancer
- Identify caries risk level for patients and offer fluoride/sealants, as clinically needed
- Maintain and complete accurate chart notes
- Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare operatory per OSHA guidelines
- Assist in administrative responsibilities to maintain productive hygiene schedule
Requirements (Education/Certifications):
- Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene
- Active Dental Hygiene License
- CRP Certification (CRP-BLS)
- Anesthesia certification (preferred)
