Description
The Telecom Analyst serves as a liaison between Telecom Vendors and the Enterprise Technology Partners (ETP) organization to provide technical support to resolve wired/wireless carrier activations, configurations, and billing reconciliation. Provides expertise on corporate mobility and wired line technologies. Helps to determine opportunities to automate and standardize business processes and functions. Translates high level business requirements into functional/technical specifications for SGWS's IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between the Vendors and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses and understanding of technological trends and the business and technical infrastructure landscape and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to improve business results to ETP leadership.
The responsibilities for this role are:
●Determine opportunities to redesign business processes to achieve better business results
●Determine opportunities to automate business processes and functions
●Serve as liaison between Telecom Carriers and IT on projects and enhancements
●Conduct requirements gathering and translate high level business requirements into functional specifications
●Create and maintain business process, requirements, and functional specification documentation
●Communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communication
●Manage and work with vendors to ensure delivery, reliability, quality, accuracy in billing, and compliance with SWS company standards and guidelines
●Manage hardware and service issues and facilitate carrier support calls as necessary
●Serve as an expert to support the education and training of end users, working to increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions
●Understand, communicate and reinforce standard business process concepts and methodology within the IT organization
●Establish and maintain relationships with key Business Unit personnel
Qualifications
●5 or more years of work experience, including relevant business and IT experience
EDUCATION
●Bachelor's or Technical Degree Required (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry related curriculum)
●Master's Degree Preferred (MBA, MIS or equivalent curriculum)
●Note: Sufficient and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements
