Overview

The Credit & Collections Clerk is responsible for strategically and proactively coordinating the most efficient SGWS sales team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Check and release daily orders for next day delivery
• · Follow up on sales payment commits
• · Review service charge report for incorrect charges
• · Reconcile customer accounts
• · Notify customers of discrepancies
• · Post customer payments to accounts
• · Prepare bank deposits
• · Maintain low delinquency percentage
• · Maintain accuracy of data input for customer orders, pickups and other tasks
• · Listen to customer needs and respond appropriately
• · Place collection and COD calls
• · Notify management of problems
• · Work closely with sales, communicate problems and discrepancies
• · Perform other job related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• · High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 years of experience
• · Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectives
• · Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas
• · Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
• · Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
• · Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills
