$15.00/hr minimum - $18.75/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

The Food Service Host is responsible for assembling, delivering & retrieving patient meals.

Responsibilities

·  Maintains clean work area following all safety and sanitation guidelines
·  Enters and reports cash transactions.
·  Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following doctor’s orders
·  Keeps all work areas adequately stocked with food, condiments, beverages and service ware.
·  Washes dishes and utensils following Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines in all actions.
·  Delivers and retrieves trays using required patient identifiers in all interactions.
·  Attractively and accurately assembles patient trays.
·  Follows established portion control guidelines when serving food and beverages
·  Responsible for service to retail operations.
·  Prepares meals using approved food sanitation practices
·  Sweeps and mops floors using approved methods.

Qualifications

·  High School diploma or equivalent preferred
·  Food Service Sanitation required for SJMH
·  Allergen Certification required.
·  6 months previous experience in food service
