MEDICAL ASSISTANT/CT Tech
Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Southern Indiana ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Southern Indiana ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role is full-time, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday at Columbus, with occasional travel to Greenwood, Franklin, and Seymour.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Medical Assistant
- The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians with the evaluation, management, charting, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
- The Medical Assistant will fill in as a CT Tech, as needed.
- The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow and performing basic skills such as vital signs, chief complaints, reviews medications, and point of care testing.
- The Medical Assistant will maintain upkeep of exam and treatment rooms- restocking supplies, washing, drying and sterilizing instruments.
- The Medical Assistant will maintain their Provider's Athena Inboxes
- Other duties as assigned.
- The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of a Medical Assistant
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current CPR Certification required
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.
- Experience with Athena preferred
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS for a Medical Assistant
Required: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. CT Tech Certification.
All employees are required to have a valid driver's license and provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
WAGE:
$18-$20 per hour based on experience Travel Reimbursement.
